Market Report

Today sees the US Trade Balance figures, PPI and the University of Michigan sentiment released. The markets will be looking at all of the aforementioned to try and find more excuses to push the Dollar down further.

I hate to say it, but I told everyone on Monday that 3 out of the 4 teams playing in Europe this week would progress to the next round. When I predicted this, I never thought Tottenham would be the team to exit, but that is life!

Market Report

With very little in the way of economic data yesterday, the biggest move has been the Dollar weakening after Fed Governor Mishkin and Dallas Fed President Fisher said US inflation is too high. Today we hear from FED chairman Bernanke, which may help us see more movement in the Dollar.

Yesterday I predicted that 3 out of the 4 Football teams still playing in Europe would get through to their respective semi finals. After an incredible night for Man Utd and Chelsea, and with Liverpool almost certainly through, that leaves Tottenham to be the unlucky team for my prediction to come true.

Market Report

The big news we were all waiting for was from Fridays US non Farm payroll data. This came out better than expected, which strengthened the Dollar against most currencies on Friday.

However, despite the gains made, we are now trading at nearly the same levels we saw before the data release because of concerns that the trade tensions between the US and China will escalate.

It's a big week for European football, with Man Utd Chelsea Liverpool and Tottenham all still flying the flag for England. My guess is that 3 out of the 4 will still be in their respective competitions by the end of the week.
