Step by Step Guide
- Register. To get registered you have two options. Firstly you can call us on +44 (0)845 257 8258 and speak to one of our personal account managers. They will ask you a few questions and then send you some paperwork to read and sign and return in the prepaid envelope provided. Alternatively you can complete the online account opening form here. There is no obligation or cost involved when you register with us.
- Your Personal Account Managerwill contact you. Once you are registered you will receive communication from your Personal Account Manager. They will introduce themselves, give you all their contact details and explain all strategies and mechanisms available to you. As every client has different needs, your Personal Account Manager will try and understand them and then advise you how to make the process as easy as possible.
- Trade. When the time comes for you to purchase your currency, all you need to do is contact your Personal Account Manager. They will tell you what the current exchange rate is. If you are happy with this rate and wish to proceed, your dealer can book the currency for you over the telephone. You must realise that once you have verbally agreed to purchase the currency, you are entering into a legally binding contract. As exchange rates are volatile there is a good chance that between the time you ask us to purchase currency for you, and the time we send your currency the exchange rate will move. Having verbally agreed the rate with us, we would have fixed the exchange rate and this cannot be changed.
- Deal Ticket. Once you have agreed a deal with us, you will be sent a deal ticket by email, fax or post. This document outlines what you have purchased, what rate you achieved and the details of how to make payment to us. This acts as a receipt of the deal.* If you have already given us the details of where you would like us to forward the currency for you, it will be printed on the deal ticket, if not there is space for you to complete this by hand. All you then have to do is send the deal ticket back to us.
- Money Transferred. As long as we have received your payment by the agreed date, we will forward the currency you purchased on to the details you provided us with. (We do not charge you to transfer money overseas). The time it takes to get to the recipient depends on which country it is being sent. As a general rule, it will be with the recipient within 48 hours.
*Whether you sign the deal ticket or not does not indicate whether or not you wish to proceed with the deal as you have already agreed to the deal on the telephone.
